Learn a new strategy for managing pressure systems!

What to expect:

This is the second of 3 trainings in the dual certification program - Medical Therapeutic Yoga and Integrative Lifestyle Medicine. This module expands on concepts learned in the Level 1 training by discussing the relationship between orthopedic and gastrointestinal health and the associated risk factors which impact clinical practice and outcomes. Lifestyle Medicine foundations are expanded upon to include developing a working understanding of the gut-brain-body axis, sleep science, environmental impacts on health, stress management, and more advanced mindful movement and breathwork.

What People Are Saying

Thanks to you, Ginger, I have been able to self treat and resolve a longstanding history of symptoms that I was not able to correlate with my spine. I am better than ever! Level II, like the rest of your program, is both awesome and transformative. You provided such an ideal mix of many bites of learning digested and absorbed throughout (and beyond) the week. The atmosphere was one of inspiration and insights that left me wanting to apply yoga as medicine and return for more learning.
Anne Naude, PT
For me, module Level II was a turning point. I left module Level I wondering what medical therapeutic yoga looked like in practice. But Ginger taught me this: It's about taking what you grasp and assimilating it in your own very individual and creative way. This helped me to shift my perspective and see that the broad concepts from the program are the foundation - the planting of a seed. We are given a manual with so much information. Some of it will be covered, but my job is to study and apply it based on my understanding and experience and scope of practice. To join the movement of yoga in healthcare and share it, expand it. I am learning to let go of expectations. I know now that I need to find and develop what MTY means to me. What the application of the principles will look like is different for each of us. Ginger has a great gift for inspiration and empowerment. The kind of freedom and support she gives us is an extraordinary and exciting gift.
Jen Wilking, PT, PYT-C
