Why This Certification Matters
Historically, rehabilitation has been inconsistently integrated into recovery after gynecologic,
urologic, colorectal, and abdominal surgery.
Many patients receive excellent surgical care but limited guidance regarding:
● Functional recovery
● Pelvic floor dysfunction
● Return to exercise
● Sexual health
● Bowel and bladder function
● Long-term quality of life
PSRS was developed to help change that reality.
Participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to become local experts and advocates
for postoperative rehabilitation, helping bridge the gap between surgery and long-term functional
recovery.

While these procedures may successfully address the underlying pathology, many patients continue to struggle with:

Many receive excellent surgical care, but little guidance regarding functional recovery. The Pelvic Surgery Rehabilitation Specialist Certification was developed to bridge this gap. This course is more than just treating this population; we are setting the standard.
