What can I expect?
Pain is an individual patient experience, that can be different for everyone. The way clinicians speak to patients about pain can have a huge mental and emotional impact. Tracy discusses the importance of integrating pain research into patient care, including mindful word choice to help patients on their road to recovery. She also makes suggestions about how to interact with patients in a way that facilitates behavior change as part of a treatment plan.
