GPHAM EXPERT WEBINAR SERIES:
Abdominoplasty Surgery Panel
Hot Topics and Myth Busting About Postpartum Surgery for Diastasis Recti and "Mommy Tummy Makeovers"
What can I expect?
We brought on some major experts on this topic with plastic surgeons, Dr. Elizabeth S. Lee, MD and Dr. Danielle DeLuca-Pytell, MD. We also had GPHAM member, Lisa Ryan, on board! She is not only a postpartum fitness expert specializing in DRA (Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach and CF-L2), but she has also had a full emotional and physical journey dealing with her own DRA and surgery healing.
This panel dives into the importance of multi-disciplinary care when treating people with diastasis recti. We talked through the perspectives of the plastic surgeons to help in the decision making and healing process and how we can best advise and educate people about all of the treatment options available.
